Pirate Bay
Apr 24
Putting the creators of Pirate Bay into prison has just made more people aware of them and does not solve the ‘problem’, just make any type of media so cheap that its pointless for people not to buy it legally and in the way they want it. Not only will people buy more but they are going to keep coming back because they can use it the way they want to.

So finally after months of planning and much talk on the mailing lists OFBiz have branched once more, but this time the collective I will be making use of the branch. There are enough features now in this branch for us to make use of over the next year but what we really need is stability. I can see this process being massive in terms of both changes to our internal code and also time of the developers but i think it will be worth the effort. Going to wait a few weeks for some of the simple bugs to be fixed but its on the developers road map very soon.

Nothing like a moving target, eBay updates the rules of the game again
- Third-party checkouts changing, not banned
- Third-party checkout / checkout redirect clarification from ChannelAdvisor
- eBay UK’s big announcement: mandatory free P&P expanded, easier returns
We use Channel Advisor to handle our checkout systems for eBay customers and any changes to this are concerning as they probably would have a negative impact on sales, if eBay really wants to reduce the use of checkouts then they better make sure it does not affect sales!
Build up to Shanghai F1
Apr 17
This weekend I am heading off to watch the Shanghai F1 and oh what an interesting build up there has been:
- McLaren’s Dennis quits Formula 1
- Ferrari abandon Kers for China GP
- Renault & McLaren change diffuser
and finally
I cant remember the last time I saw a red flag, and the race be abandoned its been awhile. Button wins the race but with only 1/2 the points, Massa is feeling cold about the season. Hamilton is still in hot water but here are the photos just in case you missed the race.
Its either McLaren or Lewis Hamilton who have a death wish, you start the first race of the season with a crap car, drive your heart out, get 4th then go and lie about what happened on the track knowing full well that the FIA can listen to your radio chatter to the pit wall. They are stark raving mad.
